Los Angeles at Green Bay

While we didn’t bring the nice camera equipment to last night’s final preseason game between the Green Bay Packers and the Los Angeles Rams, here are some shots we took with the iPhone. Above, walking to the stadium in late afternoon from the Packerville, U.S.A. World Headquarters, which is 1.5 miles away.

The view upon entering the stadium a little less than two hours before the scheduled 6:00 p.m. start. It’s nice to approach the evening without waiting until the last minute and having to deal with tens of thousands of people all trying to get to their seats before kickoff.

Looking at the north end zone area of Lambeau, where the Packerville, U.S.A. seats are located — for both the Green and Gold season ticket packages.

Looking south along the Packers’ sideline (the west sideline).

The suites and press/media boxes also along the west side of Lambeau Field.

Some of the Los Angeles Rams out on the field for early warm-ups.

A closer look at the north end zone.

A word to the wise: the upper concourse is usually less crowded than the lower concourse, even during peak usage.

One of the tunnels from the upper concourse out to the seating bowl.

Another great reason to go in early... no lines at the concession stand. Our tradition is to always have a bratwurst before the game.

A network television camera looks down on the field from the stadium’s northwest corner.

Old Glory waves above the green and gold.

Another view of the stadium from the upper concourse level.

Looking up at the video scoreboard that is directly behind and above our seats.

The play clock that is two rows directly in front of us in the north end zone.

The Packers have taken the field in this view from the Packerville, U.S.A. gold package season tickets seats.

The opening kickoff against the Los Angeles Rams (formerly of St. Louis, formerly of Los Angeles, and formerly of Cleveland).

73,000+ fans turned out on a beautiful, but increasingly cool late summer evening.

Some game action against the Rams.

Some game action against the Rams.

The game has concluded with a 24-10 Packers victory (that was quick, wasn't it?). The Packers finish the preseason with a record of 3-1.

The crowd files out after a game in which many football players experienced the last game of their lives.

A portrait of your Packerville, U.S.A. editor before heading out into the cool, dark night. Always good to be at Lambeau Field.

And it’s always nice to see this graphic after a game.

I took these photos (above and below) because my brother works at Associated Bank.

My next vehicle?

The fans leaving for a late night drive home.

The new Johnsonville Tailgate Village is much quieter after a game than before a game (duh... obviously, right?)

One look back at the stadium before walking down Oneida Street and back to the Packerville, U.S.A. World Headquarters.
